To the 100th anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Scientific Hydrophysical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the state institution "State Hydrography" of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, organized additional measures for the development of marine sciences, in particular:
Representatives of the State Service of Marine and River Transport of Ukraine (Maritime Administration), National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, State Agency "State Hydrography", State Enterprise "ChernomorNIIproekt", Scientific Hydrophysical Center of NAS of Ukraine, Center for Problems of Marine Geology, Geoecology and Sedimentary Reduction of Ore Formation took part in the press conference. National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Shipping Company Ukrrichflot, Ukrainian Professional Union of River Transport Workers, Marine Charitable Fund, mass media, as well as specialized specialists, scientists and others and.
The provisions of the Marine Doctrine of Ukraine for the period up to 2035, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from October 7, 2009, No. 1307, stipulate that the realization of Ukraine's national interests in the field of maritime activity is achieved, in particular, through the use of the scientific potential of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for solving problems. Fundamental and applied tasks related to maritime activities.
It is known that navigational and hydrographic support for maritime activities (including shipping safety) is a sphere of relations that arise in the process of scientific, technical, industrial and managerial activity during hydrographic works, as well as oceanographic studies of the oceans.
In this regard, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and invited the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine to launch a joint scientific and technical program in the field of oceanographic and hydrographic study of the marine environment and inland waterways of Ukraine in order to increase the effectiveness of navigational and hydrographic safety of navigation for the period 2018-2022 .
During the press conference, experts of the State Hydrographic Agency of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine and the Scientific Hydrophysical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine presented the project of the said scientific and technical program.
The purpose of this program is to create a modern software and hardware complex - a joint automated database of digital oceanographic data of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine to provide users with relevant data and information on the state of the marine environment, in particular in the interests of improving the navigational and hydrographic navigation provision.
In addition, the participants of the first joint integrated river research expedition "Dnepr-2018" presented the results. It should be noted that the total length of the expedition route was 360 km.
The study of waterways of inland waterways is carried out in the interests of creating safe navigation conditions, filling the bank of oceanographic data, issuing river navigation maps and guides for navigation, as well as adapting the European rules of navigation on inland waterways for inland waterways of Ukraine in accordance with the resolutions of the Committee on Inland Water Transport UNECE, studying the operation of the river information service and its compliance with European standards, determining the reliability of the navigation adnannya at pp. Dnipro.
The results of expeditionary research will be used in the process of proofreading of river maps (taking into account the actual hydrographic, hydroacoustic and hydrological state of abnormal areas of the study area), as well as during the formation and replenishment of databases of the joint automated bank of digital oceanographic data of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
The implementation of the program will make it possible to make a significant contribution to the fundamental and applied researches of the Azov-Black Sea basin, to deepen and bring to the highest innovative level hydrographic and oceanographic researches carried out by profile institutions of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
